Silent and unmoved, the dummies of the morphology faculty guard the lecture halls in the via Mangiagalli building, showing all their disarming humanity.
The Morphology and Biomedical Sciences department is part of CittĂ degli Studi, a scientific pole built in the early '900. After having waited forthree months, I finally got all the bureaucratic papers I needed to take pictures of it. In Mangiagalli Street "humanity" is studied: what is inside us and how we work.
When I finally enter, after passing an armored door with enter code, tens of dummies are staring at me, proud of their perfect bodies. They are everywhere: sitting at the desks in the classrooms, in the hall, in the cold anatomic rooms. At first, the views of our naked body scares me a bit, but once the shock is over I get used to them and start to notice how each part of the body is so harmonic and balanced.
