A dense contrast between "macro" and "micro" on the landscape of the location where the new urban area of Expo 2015 will rise.
This work focuses on the area between the streets of Milan Gallarate, Daimler, the motorway A4 Milano - Torino, viaTriboniano and via Barzaghi, the square of the Cemetery and the street Rizzo and Jona that take the name from "Cascina Merlata", where Expo 2015 is going to start and will rise a new urban area. The project is divided into two parts, each of which consists in an overview that embraces the territory and a series pictures closer.
In the first figure the intention is to relate the ground with the marks left by machinery and the work. From this meeting are born new macro territories, artificial lunar and desert expanses, which are also ever-changing landscapes of passage. In the second figure, however, in the same territory, taken in a different way, it shows a lacking aspect, that is going to relate with what the excavations bring to light: waste, but also shoes, clothes and toys, as fossils, outcrops to remember the passage of previous lives.
