An amazing journey in the landscape and in the urban unconscious which surround us.
"The night has been chaotic: the strong wind has smashed down chimneys where we were sleeping. We could hear moans in the air, peculiar screams of death and voices that, with fearsome inflections, predicted terrible conflicts which will usher in a woeful new age. The owl screamed all night; and also, someone says the Earth has shivered with fever."
Macbeth, W. Shakespeare
The crisis of night landscape faced by two eyes and two different aims. A feverish insomnia has guided them to explore the detested, but secretly loved, hinterland of Milan. During the darkest hours of the night, when the more upsetting dreams and the more terrible nightmares born, two photographers lied in the shadow, in order to face the anxiety of a desolate and uninhabited landscape. From the snow in January, to the slurry in April, until the damp grass and the fireflies in May, two explorers undertook a raving revelation to understand the unexpected deformations of nature in the instant when, behind the wanderer's eyes, everything seems to come alive and become ominous and frightful.
